Organized by Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency, Energo Hack was held to address the challenges facing the energy sector through innovative and technological solutions. The hackathon brought together 18 teams and around 60 participants, who worked on real-world challenges and developed their own ideas and prototypes in both hardware and software directions.

As a partner of the hackathon, SOCAR Georgia Petroleum selected its favorite team. SOCAR’s choice was MyEnergy - an interactive simulator of Georgia’s energy sector that introduces users to energy-related decisions through a game-based format. The mobile-friendly browser game places users in the role of an energy entrepreneur and allows them to contribute to the country’s energy supply by developing solar, wind, and hydropower plants across different regions of Georgia.

MyEnergy is built around real energy challenges in Georgia and covers topics such as energy shortages, dependence on imported resources, public trust, and energy literacy. In an interactive environment, the project shows users how each decision can affect the energy system, economic outcomes, and public sentiment.

For SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, supporting young people is one of the priority areas of social responsibility. The company continues to support initiatives that give young people, innovators, and startups the opportunity to work on real challenges and create practical solutions.
